Discovery & Development of Therapeutics – The Skin Resident Immune Cell Assay (sRICA)
Time: 10:00 am
day: Day Two
Details:
• Outlining that normal human skin contains a multitude of resident immune cells, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and keratinocytes
• Developing a novel 3D skin tissue model that utilizes normal human skin, which can be exposed to specific stimuli to activate precise inflammatory pathways that play roles in autoinflammatory disease
• Utilizing this to screen potential drug candidates, evaluate mechanism of action, and compare anti inflammatory activities between different therapeutics
